Does higher expedition tech increase your chances of a successful operation, or give you a higher percentage of fleet that returns unscathed?

I'm pretty sure it increases the amount of Expeditions you can have at once, just like how Computer Tech works.

Yeah, I just tested this, I upgraded to 4 and can only send 2 fleets, lol.

No idea, then.

maybe 2 is to 1. I have lvl 7 expedition technology.
I can send 3.

See, I had 3 and I could still send 2....

Maybe its just a really weird calculation o.O

Let's see what happens when I upgrade to 8.

Does expedition missions take a fleet slot provided by the comp tach? I think it does but I'm not really sure.

Yea, expeditions do take a fleet slot.

What I'd like to know is the original question.... Does having a higher level of expedition technology increase the chances of your expeditions success ?

Expeditions are risky enough as it is... having 5% of your original fleet return after getting sucked into a black hole, *****.
It would be nice if the success rate were increased, and not just the amount of expeditions you can send...

As it stands, why would you want to risk more than 1 expedition at a time ?

I broke even. I have done expeditions, mostly when bored, and I gained five battleships, some menial res, and lost five once. So not really worth it. Somebody suggested that the type of ship sent affects what kind of ship you get. If you could risk a RIP, it might be interesting to see if you would get a free one. Almost worth it....
