Hi, please help. I have a 2 quieries with my first raid.
1. I sent out my probes and received back a report which just had details of his metals, crystal and Ds, with nothing else. I did read in a thread that this could be an incomplete report due to my level of espionage, however looking at his stats on the galaxy viewer he is down as ranking 2001 with no points spent on defence, buildings, research etc. As such I took it as a full report that he did have nothing else. I know that this question has been answered before but I can't seem to find it - please could someone clarify how you can tell it is a full report?
2. I completed my raid successfully with no fighting and gained a haul of resources. I was going to raid him/her again the following day as he was still down as (i) next to his name. Just to make sure that all was as it seems I sent out my probes again, but they were destroyed and formed a DF around his planet. My question is if he had no defences the first time I raided him, and he is still inactive how can he have built up some defences to destroy my probes?
Very Many Thanks
Bilbo
Re: Noob requests help with espionage and raiding
#2hi, i can help u answer the basics and others can go in more detail.
i assume you have level espionage tech so you can build probes and i believe you sent only 1 probe, you need at least 3 probes to get a full espionage report, also, for every espionage tech level higher than you, you will need to send 3 more probes.
your second question, i dont really understand sorry >.<

#3Here's some answers to your queries:
1. An incomplete report is one in which you don't see the headings for each section. A complete report will have 5 headings (Raw Materials, Fleet, Defenses, Buildings, Research, in that order). An incomplete report will only show certain headings. Here's some screenshots to clarify (these are from Beta):
Full report:Incomplete report: Note that he has no fleet in either, but the heading still appears if you have enough probes to get info on it.
2. Defenses aren't necessarily necessary to destroy your probes on an espionage mission. At the bottom of the second screenshot I have above, you'll notice there's a line that says "Probability of the fleet's destruction" or something like that. This percentage is the chance your probes are destroyed. It is based on the number of probes you sent (more means higher risk), relative espionage levels of you and your target (higher for you means good for your probes, higher for them not so much), and I believe ships and defenses present might also affect it (not 100% on that).
Hopefully that helps at least a little bit. Feel free to ask more if needed

#5You can set the number of espionage probes sent through galaxy button through options.cdrCole wrote:Cheers for the replies, they have answered my quieries. I obviuosly now need lots more probes.
