Cheers, Imperialists! I have been considering getting myself a moon and I have a question.
First, imagine a planet is attacked by a hell-load of ships, which get crashed. The resulting DF has a chance of 19% to create a moon, but it does not. Now, if that same planet, which still has the 19% chance DF, is again attacked, but by a single Light Fighter (which will obviously get crashed), what would happen? Will the DF roll again? I mean, the LF will add to the DF at the end of the battle, but will there again be a decision whether a moon is formed or not? Because if that works I can attack a planet 20 times with a single LF and get a moon easily (presuming the planet has a big DF).
Thanks in advance!
Re: Hypothetical Moon Shot Question
#2Moons are based on the DF from individual battles. That 1 LF would get a 0% chance for a moon. You would need to send enough ships for 19% every time in order to maximize your chances.
