hey, sry if this has been asked already and i missed the post, but which is better for gaining energy, upgrading solar plant/fusion reactor and using sats or would strictly using satellites be more cost efficient? Thanks for any help.

But if you are tight on your expenses, having around lvl 20 solar plant is more cost efficient by a small margin.(depending on the temperature of your planet)

what energy tech do you have to be at for that cus I've got a lvl 19 solar plant and I'm nowhere near 300K

lvl 20 solar plant + ~10k solar satellites

keep in mind though, that in addition to being slightly more cost efficient up to lvl 20, solar plants can't be destroyed, whereas sol sats will get slaughtered whenever you're attacked.

If you get a friend to attack your planet and scoop up the Resources from the sats, though, they are still better

But I didn't tell you that
