I find a band that I like, so I start listening to it through my headphones, which was a good disguise because we were supposed to be doing an audio activity at the time. My teacher comes over about 20 seconds later, yelling at me for not being on task. I soon realize that I plugged my headphones into the microphone slot instead of the headphone slot, and it was playing through the computer speakers for everyone to hear.
Done close to the same thing. Put on my headphones and turned some music on, listened for a few minutes before i realized they weren't plugged in and the music was blasting from the computer.

As a few of you know, I just got back into town from counselling a summer camp for 3rd and 4th graders (they're so cute ^^). At campfire one night, one of the kids would NOT stop messing around and continued to throw rocks and leaves into the fire. I calmly, and ninja-like, got up into the shadows behind her and whispered in her ear,

"Hey, Hannah, that can be dangerous so we need to stop; okay?"

She looked at me and nodded and finally stopped throwing random things from the ground into the fire. I sat with my fellow cousnellors (both of which are great friends of mine) who's names I will mention as "J" and "E" (I'm all secretive :D ).

E: "Man, kids just do the oddest things sometimes. I mean...why would you even through things in the fire? You can't even see them burn. There's nothing interesting about it."

Gale: "Well, she probably got bored of listening. You know how we were in 3rd grade. Throwing stuff is just simply something to do."

J: "Well they'll learn their lesson someday."

Gale: "How? Are the ashes and embers going to fly out towards them and scorch their faces from a yard and a half away?"

(And J says this...much louder than she should've...)

J: "No...we could just THROW them in the FIREEEE!!!!..."

(the girl and a few of her friends all stare at us in fear...)

------------

After laughing histarically in front of the girls (probably not the best choice), we told them we were talking about something else and that we would NEVER (<.<) throw them in a fire.. Lol...
