Re-rolling Planets

#1
As I'm new to this game as soon as I was able to build colony ships I began a promiscuous journey through the stars, so to speak. Now, looking back on my current 8 new colonies and having taken on board some advice from veterans, I believe that a complete overhaul of tatics is in order for me. As it stands all my planets are in the same system, and some have less than 150 fields available to them.

The reason why I'm here is to ask what the extent of the points deduction will be if I decide to re-roll the colonies, and if there is any chance to use the planets well with their current lacklustre features?

Sweet, I've only been looking at size, didn't even think to look at temps.

And on that note what is a good size? Because my homeworld was 168 then I have 2 planets next to it which i have kept because they are 294 and 450 in size and I thought the size may be good and didn't want to just throw them away?

Also what temp range should I be aiming for?

Or are a heavy turtle as in that case the extra crystal from a warmer planet may be more beneficial to you. Although I say everyone should set up early on for themselves to be able to fleet in the future just in case...
