and well its been far to long since I played the dark trooper saga so I cant remember any of the plot from that, but it wouldnt surprise me if they, like the storm troopers, where a derivitive of mando'ade.

They were invented before the Mandolorians were fleshed out and were essentially stormies meet power armour.
Also, theres some debate about stormies being mandolorian derived as canon or not-Lucas says no since he invented the mandolorians as a minor race much later, but hes let many authors say yes. I tend to assume not, since mando armour deflects lightsabers and clone/stormie armour struggles to deflect a punch.

yea well there’s a lot that can be debated as to "what’s canon or not" it can also be debated as to how much say Lucas has in what’s canon or not... but this isn’t really the thread for that discussion.

However I tend to read it on a common sense basis with these things. If object A is spawned into existence as a nameless mook breed, then object B, which is an awesomesauce end of game breed, is then invented into an earlier part of the timeline, and an author other than the originals suggests that object B led to object A, its not canon. I mean mandos were awesomesauce with a gun, from what I know, stormies are cannon fodder

excellent post and I think I agree with you on most parts, running out of time right now but when I get back from running around I will look for / make a mando / star wars post, where we can discuss this further and have a few questions about your whole timeline idea cleared up ^.^

two thing ace, first off I am a mando in game so therefore I was discussing who I am 'in game'.

and second, if you learn to read you would see that the post right above yours had this quote in it,
