Alexin, Gnome of the Gnomer Empire.

20 years after the war with the minators, The Gnomer empire was invaded by the undead. They were leaded by a powerful warlock, holding the book (See Adventure topic). The undead and him came and slaughtered my family. Most of The Gnomer Empire was destroyed and the few that servived fled. They built a base that is now the main base of the remaining Gnomer empire after The Gnomer Citadel fell to the undead. The base is called Fatalax Fortress. And Alexin came with a group of survivors to Fatalax. Thier leader was the Second in command of the Gnomer army, Sartan Flameiner. Alexin got a quest from him to find and kill this warlock of the undead. He found a group of people that look like rebels of their own empires. And now he is with them, hoping to findmthe warlock that destroyed the Gnomer Empire.

Combat preferance: Skalathrax fights largely with magics from many Lores, shunning only death and dark magics despite having a vast knowledge of them. However he is not adverse to engaging in melee where his diamond hard claws and magics serve him well.

Family: None left living. It is possible that some descendants of his family survive, but he has no knowledge or desire to know them.

History:

Skalathrax is an undead warlock. He has collected many dark and esoteric titles in his long undeath, driven by the bitterness and anger of constantly being shunned and hated by those he once called kin, for a time he trode the path of Evil. He wreaked a bloody vengeance on those who sought to end him and his undead bretren for many years, becoming more bitter and delving into darker magics as the years went on and his enemies more powerful. It was amidst the burning ruins of a human city in the far mountains where he realized that his actions were in keeping with those who the living feared, and by fighting the misguided hatred of the living, he had become what he and they hated. Gathering the undead he had led through so much, he presented his new vision, and triumphed over those who would not change. From that moment on he and what remained of those of neutral and good alignments, those who survived or could be raised, marched only on necromancers of Evil, and the Vampires and their pets. From the living, they seek only to be left at peace in their tomb fortress of Heraphax.

Personality: His years of war and darkness have left him with a twisted and often brutal humour. He is chiefly loyal to himself, but once his friendship and trust have been earned as his brethren did, there are few beings on the planet more loyal.

Country: Heraphax
Capital: Heraphax, the Nation of Heraphax is centred around the Tomb Fortress from which it takes its name. It owns several outposts around its fringes, but no other cities.
Inhabitants: Undead
Governing Type: Monarchy, Ruled by the Brothers of Darkness en Abstentia
Military Style: Total War and Manoeuvre Warfare. All citizens are trained soldiers, entering formal military training regardless of past expertise as soon as they are deemed recovered from the Resurrection Process by the Brothers of Darkness. When Heraphax marches in full, its elite form the vanguard while the rest of the soldiery forms the main, and those of the 'citizenry' remain behind to defend Heraphax itself. All three groups contain many casters, chiefly warlocks, who raise, repair, and decimate as they are needed. At any time there are several battalions of Soldiery working under the command of one or more of the Brothers of Vengeance seeking out Necromancers and Vampires. The Brother in command will then assess the threat, either eliminating the subject by themselves, with their battalion, or calling for additional support from the others of their order. When a Necromancer or Vampire Lord's Fortress is located, or makes their immediate or future genocidal plans towards Heraphax known, Heraphax will either make a preliminary strike in full force, or pull back all its population to itself to weather the storm.


History:
Heraphax was founded by the Brothers of Darkness, under the guidance of the Lord of Heraphax, from the ruins of a Human city just razed for being the base of an anti-undead cult. Realizing they had become what their enemies feared and they themselves loathed in their years of darkness, practicing dark arts and taking delight in the bringing of pain and suffering on the living, they turned away from their dark ways, keeping their name as a remembrance of what they had been and those who refused to turn from their Evil alignments. Repairing the cities defences, they raised those among the fallen populace with the necessary strength of will who consented to be raised, and buried those of their own and the livings fallen side by side, burrowing into the side of the mountain the city was built on to form an immense crypt. From the upper levels of this crypt do the Brothers of Darkness carry about their work, directing the minutiae of the cities running at the command of the Lord of Heraphax, and taking up the burdens of the city’s ruling in his absence. From its walls the Brothers of Vengeance stride forth at the head of Sentient Undead Armies, seeking out the Soulless Ones, the Necromancers, and the Vampires and their pets. The walls of Heraphax are of great height and thickness, wrought by magic and the skill of Undead Architects and Technomats of all races alike. Towers with steam, clockwork and magical defences stand guard over the city at all times, and amongst the Undead of Heraphax is said that not even a single blade of grass moves in the boundaries of Heraphax without the notice and approval of it’s technologically and magically aided sentries. It is a proud and young nation, especially by the standards of its citizenry, the oldest of whom have seen the rise and fall of entire empires. While very limited in those it will accept into its limits and citizenry, not one sentient living being has passed beneath its walls since its creation, but once raised into Undeath, any soul of nonevil alignment is welcomed into it. Its population is mainly former Human, but contains former Dwarves and Gnomes and Goblins, with fewer Orcs, Trolls, Ogres, Elves, and even Dragons.

Allies:
Heraphax has no formal allies, but has a tacit non aggression pact with the neighboring Human and Gnome nations it borders, and is looked apon with favour by the Good and Neutral Dragons.

Enemies:
Heraphax is in continuous state of war with the Vampires and the Forces of Chaos, although it rarely engages the latter if it can avoid it, as much of chaos magic renders the resurrection of the Fallen difficult in the extreme. The Brothers of Vengeance constantly seek out Necromancers and Hordes of the Soulless, and destroy them in their entirety apon every chance. Against the AntiUndead, Heraphax attempts to avoid confrontation, but will take to the field given provocation.
