So I have this guy that all he do is build IPM and send them at me. All day long, all week long. I destroyed his fleet, destroyed all his defenses, keep his res down by raiding all his planets several time a day but still all he does is send IPM.
I would need missile silo lvl 15 to be able to stop them all with ABM, and it is not an option at this time for me. Is there a type of defense that resist better IPM? Any other defense beside ABM against them?
Seem like a good way to grief players in the game. Not sure why the bashing rule doesnt apply to IPM, you cant make profit out of them its obviously a tool of war so should only be used in declared war IMO.
Re: Defense against IPM
#2Whoever's sending a craptonne of IPMs is always on the losing side. They're wasting their res. Personally, I would ignore them and just focus on a different planet instead.

#3^^^ What sloth said. But actually, in my experience, the heavier defense types were more resistant to IPM's, such as Heavy Lasers and Plasma Cannons.

Re: Defense against IPM
#4So how do IPM work exactly? In the description it says attack 12000. Does it mean it will inflict 12k armor damage to my defense per missile?
Being on the receiving end of so many IPM I noticed a few things. One was that it is not constant. Sometime 5 miissiles will inflict more losses than 7 or 8. Is the 12k attack dammage randomized like shields strength? Is it affected by weapon tech level?
I do have a strategy to actually make profit out of this situation but as with anything I am trying to refine and optimize it and I just cannot understand IPM from the data I have so far.
