I play on the Speed universe, and have 11500 points, and got attacked by a 263000 point player, isn't there supposed to be 1/5 rule, where this person wouldn't be able to attack anyone under 52600 points or so?

The game is FREE. And there are obviously a lot of players that disagree with you about it being worthless. Instead of getting upset, try to find an alliance to help you learn to play and grow even under the direst of hits.

not sure if this is related but i probed a player with 1.5K points today. refresh my knowledge again how a player loses player protection in game?

As for the speed player with 11.5k pts, you will not get attacked if you are not a profit. See all the top dogs on every server? They were not always the top dogs from day one, they had to avoid people too just like everyone else (especially the top dogs in Extreme and Standard as these are older servers and thus have had more turnover of players). All the top guns avoided the previous top guns by not being a profit and through their cunning. If you want to grow a lot, you should learn the same.
