Now I don't mind being attacked, it's part of the game and it's through me being lazy, let me just declare that straight out. However, for the resources created here, I cannot imagine the cost of the deuterium required to attack me (In this case it was across 11 systems, so this one may be an exception) could be profitable when sized up to the gains. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not exactly the worlds biggest fleeter and have never had anywhere near 40k BC, 35k LG, 53k BS or any of the other numbers I've seen, but this just seems like attacking for the hell of it. Is the game slipping, or is there just something I'm missing? A week ago I was hit for a total of 7m metal, 4m crys, and 11m deut...across 3 galaxies by over 50k BS. It just seems a bit off to me :S

In that case this specific one was definitely profitable, thought it would have been alot more than that.

the duet cost for this hit was covered with the first raid i think.

Aye this particular one definitely was, but been getting hit by massive amounts of ships over long distances for very low/negative profits. Just seems odd.

find out what kind of defense that takes the attack ship more than 9 mil deut to launch at ... that would probably save u but then again ppl have RIPs to get at u.

u cannot afford to leave that much around when ur defense is not sufficient to guard it. i am guessing u do not do daily farming of ur planets.

I remember the first time my defences were wtf bashed with 50k BS for what seemed like no profit. And the second. I think its or of a Shock and Awe type thing, just to say "not only do I have the ship numbers to destroy you, but I also have the resources to waste to do it." It's meant to make you nervous, to make you make mistakes. The third time around that I got hit with 50k BS, they made 300M+ profit.

^^ if that is true then he who ever said that should not ever complain in forum if someone did not showed sportsmanship. saying hitting a defense out of spite is not good sportsmanship and if coming in here after a kill and demand sportsmanship i would dub thee a "hypocrite".

apart from that coming to the current context a player him/herself is responsible of his or her colonies safety. may it be with better words with fellow players or with keeping the planets dried out (yes keep them low in res you might say its a drag or chore to do so but i have seen the best turtle in game history, you all know who i am referring to do a colony farm twice a day just so he doesnt get robbed off his stuffs).

unless you cannot do so you hardly can complain. still a game and defense bashing is perfectly within game capacity. the primary objective of defense bashing is to make a final profit out of the defense if that final profit is not in the sight i doubt any sane player would hit a turtle.
