I realized that mines are producing resources very well or normally even with or without the metal,crystal and deutruim storage so my question is what is the purpose of the storages if it is not making any changes in the production of the resources(If the resources total for the metal for ex. is 3000 and the storage capacity is 1000 still the production is normal),so please anyone answer this question for me,

Storage units allow the planet to continue to stockpile manufactured resources. Without them, there is no additional production- it's limited by the capacity of the resource cap for each type of resource.

For example, at the beginning you can only store 1 million metal (1,000k). If you wish to continue to stockpile after this mark you must build level 1 Metal Storage which will increase your capacity to 1.5 million (1,500k). I beleive each level of storage grants you an extra 50% storage than your current capacity. So, level 2 Metal Storage will give you 2.25 million (2,250k) storage capacity, level 3 will give you 3.375 million (3,375k) storage capacity and so on. This is the same for all resource storage facilities.
