#62I have no faith, so to speak, i am a strong believer in science. I cannot understand something that holds no proof of existence and is followed simply from a book.
I believe in science, the evolutionary theory, the big bang etc
Everything in the universe is derived from basic pure energy, the big bang released this into matter that formed everything we know today. While i hold no true belief in god, i must question myself when i think about what i do believe. If science is true and the big bang was the beginning of creation, where did energy in its simplest form come from? In fact, where, how and WHY does the universe actually exist?
All beliefs have flaws, though some hold such little proof its a wonder anyone can take them seriously. I am one of the, "I'll believe it when i see it" people.

Re: Gospel
#63i believe in infinite multiverse theory and each big bang throughout time comes from a black hole
it is mind boggling to think of no beginning and no end but that is what i think it is
also in a previous post i hinted at the garden of eden alternative view which to me is interesting
Gnosticism theory is that there is a "real" spiritual god and a "false" materialistic god and that in garden of eden the serpent was actually the real god wanting humans to have knowledge
another idea which may seem bit whacky to some is that god was actually an alien civilization or presence of some sort
i love history science and philosophy type stuff
fascinating!

Re: Gospel
#64dont you think it a bit Ironic that we first used science to explain God, and now we are using science to try to unexplain God?

Re: Gospel
#67I would appreciate if people would talk about Gospel here, not science. But you fo not have too. It is just a request I have. Thanks for everyone sharing ideas and opinions. I just know my belief and my opinions, i thought I was going to get a lot of rude comment directed toward me, but I want to thank you all for not doing that.

Re: Gospel
#68ok i have a question. i will ask one every day.
explain this verse:
"So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan."
"The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, "How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God's curse."
"Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes." (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)

Re: Gospel
#69If you remember in Judges Chapter 10, Israel sinned. Israel was supposed to be God's country. In althroughout the book of Exodus, Israel has sinned. We do not get away with sin. Then, Israel went to war multiple times with people for no reason.
Then, Israel made a " Foolish Vow". They gave a sworn testimony before the Lord. They broke their promise to God. Therefore, they had to pay for their sins. I hope this makes it a little clearer SadButTrue. I am trying.
