I think other players connected to cheating players should also be penalized. To go a bit further, I think the alliance the offending player is in should be held accountable. I'm completely tired of this happening, and having myself and alliance members being accused of this, when there are really only a handful of "bad seeds" playing this game. We aren't supposed to discuss specifics, and that is fine, but we all know the players that have in some way cheated this game. Why not make anyone or alliance that is connected to players found cheating also suffer some penalty?
To make this a manageable problem, we need to make penalties more severe IMO.
On the same subject: When are banned accounts finally deleted? If they are never going to be used, why not delete them? I would love to see banned accounts going (I) instead of blue, that way the rest of the honest players can take a bite.

Re: ban Idea
#2Hmm.... Your third sentence completely contradicts your first two sentences, at least from my perspective.
As for other thoughts, there would be controversy as players connected to the cheating player but don't know that player is cheating would be, in their perspective, unfairly punished. Yes, most players have gained an illegal leg up in the game, but if everyone is cheating, then really, no one is cheating as everyone's still on the same level.

#3if you automatically penalize anyone connected with someone that is found guilty of cheating, then you are going to wind up punishing innocent players that were unaware of the cheating, which is completely unfair. If you feel multiple players are cheating, report them all to the admins and let THEM handle it. That is part of a game admin's job. Players found cheating are generally banned, but you have to remember that the details and even the fact that they are banned are considered PRIVATE information and therefore not really available to the public.harryballsac wrote: Why not make anyone or alliance that is connected to players found cheating also suffer some penalty?

#4Please explain how I contradicted myself?
Also you can point out where I am saying "everyone is cheating". I stated the complete opposite in fact when I say there really are only a small handful of bad seeds committing rule violation after rule violation. Let me be crystal clear: I believe the vast majority of players are playing this game fairly and within the rules of the game. It is these tiny portion of the game repeatedly coming up with scheme after scheme to cheat the game.
Make stricter penalties for rule violators, and make alliances and individual players held accountable for having anything to do with these players. This is my game suggestion.

Re: ban Idea
#5Again, that is not fair to the innocent players harry. Would you want to get banned just because you traded legal moonshots with a cheating player?

Re: ban Idea
#6of course I wouldn't like it, but I can tell you without a doubt the next time a new player asks for a ms I will make sure to know this player is on the up and up.Desert_Reaper wrote:Again, that is not fair to the innocent players harry. I guess for the players connected we could adopt the 12 rule violations equalling a perma ban. That is TWELVE warnings for crying out loud! More than adequate to make players weary of being involved with repeated rule violators.

#7Sounds much more fair, though for ingame violations, 6 might be a better number.harryballsac wrote:of course I wouldn't like it, but I can tell you without a doubt the next time a new player asks for a ms I will make sure to know this player is on the up and up.Desert_Reaper wrote:Again, that is not fair to the innocent players harry. Re: ban Idea
#8Oh, I see his reasoning. At first I thought there was a contradiction as he said that we needed to only ban the players who are cheating, not the vast majority who aren't, and it contradicted with his saying that anyone connected to the banned player would be banned, as I thought he was suggesting zero collateral damage. But then I realized that this was designed to make sure players check their friends on Zorg Empire to see if they're cheating, and to be more confessive when they find out that their friend is cheating.

Re: ban Idea
#9Bans are already severe. The only reason you are unaware is that because you have not been found cheating so far.
