Fleet Docking Cost

I will first provide the inspirations for this idea.

# Every ship has a maintenance cost. I suppose without maintenance cost its illogical to think they are at ship shape without effort.

# On the flight a ship is sent out at 100% efficiency. That is if a ship has left docking bay .. we assume it was at it's 100%

# There has been too many incidences that fleeters in ze have been praying on ranking details. with this feature small to big every player will be advised to fs or pay the consequence.

# a very common view among smaller players have been seen that they often say.. big fleeters enjoy the luxury of no fsing. with this feature small or large everyone will need to fs. and while fsing the ranking ladder will be more dynamic. not only small players will require to fs but also big players.

# and finally consider this as a panalty or whatever you may think of but this is truly is only way to teach a starter player the importance of fleet saving and getting them into practice.


here is the details i would like to share... please see that the statistics are open for discussion and the amout cost per hour is also open to suggestion but i have found that with the required amount needed for docking the players will be needed to grow more mines or raid more. this will cure inactivity among players.

* Cost is based on per 5000 structure point
* if the value is fraction the next round number is taken.
* example ship structure point is 10.000 then the hourly cost will be as follows
then with 10.000 units the total structure point will be
100.000.000 points
crystals/hour = 100.000.000/50.000 * 2 = 4000
Deuterium/hour = 100.000.000/50.000 * 1 = 2000

total cost per hour for docking a fleet of 10k unit is
4.000 crystal + 2.000 deut

Constraints:

# please do note failure to pay the docking fee will stop you from launching.
# if the amount is ready on the planet it will automatically be credited out.
# at fleet menu the cost of docking will show for each planet/moon based on what ever fleet is currently docking on it.

i disagree as well what if you need to quick launch from a moon to avoid an attack and only have deut on it i for one only carry metal and crystal with my primary fleet not my secondary or raiding fleet

eg 5 min attack coming about 3 or 4 min to build a large cargo and transfer needed to pay fee (some cannot insta build cargo) then what that close of a risk for what? nah -2 for me

After talking to Spy, my understanding is that this docking cost would only apply at score updates. Get your fleet flying for the refresh and you won't have to pay anything.

I personally feel that FS for updates and while offline is a fundamental aspect of the game that is heavily stressed since day 1. However, there will be those who will argue that they have earned the ability to leave fleet down indefinitely. I can agree with that to a degree, although I would stress more the importance of keeping ships in the air. But I have never had the luxury of saving all that deut, so maybe I am a bit biased in my opinion.

After talking with spy about the idea i give it a +1, but maybe just implement it in a future universe to see how it would work out. also chuck the price to keep them down dramatically decreases the smaller fleet you have, look at the numbers for the ships 50k of those 200 EC, a majority of players don't have that kinda fleet.
