Pulsar(Dawn) v King-Immortal - TD: 46.599.086.000

King-Immortal built up quite a nice fleet in the few months I've been absent. The entire thing showed at update with no movement, but it was (wisely) located quite a ways away from any of my colonies. I knew it was an open question whether I'd get to it before he showed up, but I decided to be aggressive and drop in a roamer, ruby a moon, and try to hit as quickly as possible. Ultimately this was the right move and paid off, as Immortal came online about ten minutes after the hit. I manged to collect almost the entirety of the DF, but he did manage to salvage a very small portion.

The attacker has won the battle !
You receive 68.238.744 units of Metal, 50.427.603 units of Crystal and 325.125.772 units of Deuterium.
The attacker has lost a total of 6.894.400.000 units.
The defender has lost a total of 39.704.686.000 units.
A debris field containing 14.361.909.600 units of Metal and 13.597.542.000 units of Crystal has formed in orbit around the planet.
The probability of creating a moon is : 19 %

You collect; 8.555.000.000 units of Metal and 8.555.000.000 units of Crystal.
You collect; 5.747.954.900 units of Metal and 4.983.743.100 units of Crystal.

Huge Glotr, King-Immortal.

Nice when you can "ruby" up a moon, just like that. Unfortunately, many newbs can't. But, as a big player, you can just come along and basically put an unpoppable moon there, no worries.

However, a suggestion that newbs should have one big moon, a moon that would be safe from the bigger players gets a no no from these players, lol.
I do indeed understand that most noobs can't ruby moons... most noobs also have no reason to in this type of situtation, as they aren't hunting massive fleets. I also could not have cared less whether the moon was unpoppable. If there were an option for a smaller cheaper moon, I would have used that instead.

What some people seem to forget is that I was once one of those noobs. I played X entirely without rubies for more than a year at a point when the top account already had over 100M fleet. I did the same when the top player had a 60M fleet on Speed for about six months. I support new players recieving moons. But there are clear logistical concerns with giving them all large ruby moons automatically (such as ruby moons on every inactive in almost every system, as I mentioned in another thread). I don't really support the pay-to-play aspects of how ruby moons currently function as is, but that's a different issue. Once again I fully SUPPORT all new players automatically recieving a moon on their home planet, I just don't think these moons should be unpoppable because of the issues with game dynamics this would create. But this is all entierly off topic... If you'd like to continue this discussion, let's please do it in a different thread.

G L O T R KING-IMMORTAL.

I'm sure you'll rebuild soon enough. The "game dynamics" being what they are, you will soon be back.

Addendum:

To quote Pulsar from a previous post here.. "Once again I fully SUPPORT all new players automatically recieving a moon on their home planet, I just don't think these moons should be unpoppable because of the issues with game dynamics this would create."

So, a case of I support newbs but I do not support Newbs really.

The old gem of "game dynamics" is brought to the fore once more.

Basically you are saying one thing and then contradicting what you say.

"most noobs also have no reason to in this type of situtation". The situation is not the key point here. Again, it is okay for you to buy a moon, but you DO NOT support the fact that one unpoppable moon, just ONE moon is not okay for newbs. It would not affect the dynamics in anyway. So, you can hunt and grow stronger but they can have no refuge, just because you want to hunt them. Again, it's ONE moon, lol. Players wonder why newbs quit! Laughable.
