LMAO...yet again you show everyone what you are.....as Sprog..has clearly stated..this player went inactive..he would be in n00b protection otherwise and unable for me to attack.....and just 6 systems form my homeworld...so I did what anyone else would do mop up on a player that appears to have quit... either way free resource just 6 systems away was convenient..nothing more...Unlike you I can not attack n00bs who are just learning unless they go inactive... perhaps you should engage brain before keyboard...and stop Mod baiting / trolling at the same time...(not me but Oz)....

I think the three day inactivity period is far too short for new players who are not yet committed to the game. Imagine staring a new game, playing a bit and figuring things out, but then forgetting to log into your account for just a couple days and losing everything before you really understand how the game works. My suggestion: do away with the three day inactivity period altogether; bump it up to a full week of inactivity before a new player loses protection and can be attacked by just anyone.
All that aside, you can hardly blame Gozar for crashing a player who was showing as inactive... I would have done the same had I noticed first.

Makes sense. Was this a new player, or just someone who flits between activity/inactivity?

Was a new player....I think Greek the Meek is just annoyed as he didn't get to crash the fleet himself...hence no reply to my earlier comments....

Ah, so what Pulsar said really does mean more with regards to this sort of player.

well...
it is considered players should know how the game is played by the time they reach 200k points on Xtreme
(more general, the noob-protection border, whatever the total count on what server)
you could (well..i believe it can be done, not sure how hard it is)
link the extended inactivity protection to that noob protection... once you hit 200k , you are treated as the rest, below, you get some extra time for slacking (although we don't encourage that...lol)

I agree, learn to play, once you reach that score, fair game. I tend to agree with Pulsar though. Two or three days isn't really that long a time to be inactive before they can be hit. Seven days isn't the longest amount of time to wait, sooner or later you can hit them anyway. Whether there is a rush to hit them or not, an extra few days isn't going to make the greatest amount of difference.
