How about an instant complete research..

As my suggestion says.. can the game be given an instant complete research option in My Plus.. say for a cost of 40 rubies. I was just thinking some players need to VM for one reason or another.. (RL issues.. etc. ) this will enable them to finish their research and to go into VM.. Rather than to loose say a weeks worth waiting. ZE gains in the use and purchase of rubies.. its a win win option for all in ZE.

If it can be coded to where you automatically go into vmode after activating this option, I'm all for it since it'd be fairly balanced.

Very much like this option. Research is the one effort that cannot be hastened currently to help one enter V-mode when situation is urgent. Personal crises wait for no one.

Yes, which is why there is the option of canceling it.

I like this idea.
Maybe have it as an option when you select V-mode - it tells you that you have research in the queue and in order to V-mode you must use rubies to complete the research. This will ensure that the player goes into V-mode immediately after completing the research.

Yo DR ..the idea is if a player has been running research say over a week and a RL crisis pops up.. your idea is to cancel, the research and waste that week.. I feel this is a little unfair. the idea to add a script so the only use of this is automatic VM.. will prevent abuse of the option.. The player has to pay to use this.. may be make it 60 rubies it does not matter. The point is to help gain a revenue for ZE and to cover a dilemma any player may have in RL.. I have not been in Vm for over 2yrs.. This suggestion was not for my benefit but the game in general.

I fully support Gozars sugestions. Its a brilliant idea because Research is very costly and takes forever the more advanced the research is.
Doomrager: Its not an option to "cancel" research that has cost you 1 billion in resources and takes 22 days to complete in the 19t day or so. Just that you suggest to cancel a process with these stakes is very surprising.
Zorg: Please consider Gozars option since this is a improvement for the users that really need to vmode due to RL activities and dont want to abandon research nor ZE.

Game...crisis, its just a game, besides, when it takes research that long, its not really a top priority.

I support this idea...we can instabuild anything in our queue for buildings...the only issue that I see with this...is that if by chance, when that RL crisis pops up and your fleet is in the air...you still have to wait...why not add that option to it as well...for the cost of 20 rubies...your fleet automatically lands at it's destination, another 20 rubies and all research is completed, and another 20 rubies your building queue is clear. Then you are automatically entered into Vmode.
Just my two cents.
EDIT: After much discussion with Gozar, I can see the instant fleet land option being abused. I withdraw that suggestion.

I can not advocate the idea of automatic fleet save.. MegaMedes...We all agreed many months ago to change this option.. In the start of ZE it was possible to VM with your fleet in the air.. thus enabling anyone caught on lanx to go VM before their fleet return to stop a well planned hit.. I can see this option being used for the same reason.. Please don't say well if an attack is already launched it still goes through... because this would still be the same as before.. because of the exact time required for a lanx hit..it may not have been sent. I do not feel it is in the games interest to go backwards..
I just hope the idea can be put to the Dev team as a valid way to help player base and improve ZE revenue.
I am surprised at you schnitter for someone who has played for so long that you can make this statement.
It takes many player a long time to collect the resources to up their research.. and as such it is a priority to them..
There could be a built in time clock that says this option only works if you are over 50% through the research, as another idea.
