Attacking Rules need tweaking...

Is it possible to have the attacking rules when you hit 100k points to change?
+/- 3x your points size is all that should be able to hit any given player.
This would make this game more fair and would stop or deter people from quitting once they hit the 100k barrier.
How is it fair when you have this occurring...
Example: a 30Million Points player sees that the 105K player has 25k fleet points and is ranked 70 in fleet while he is ranked #1 overall in fleet. The #1 overall fleet player attacks and catches the fleet of the #70 overall fleet player who happens to be 285x smaller in total points then this player.
Can this be fixed please?

yeah when you hit 100k you become a farm for million point players you should only be able to attack or get attack by players in your point range if gives older players the advantage and make playes leave zorg and less rubies are bought

Nothing to fix or change.....always been the same since I played here.......the idea is that by the time you hit 100k points you should have got into the habit of fleetsaving everything and farm your colonies daily..........if there is no profit then you won't get attacked.....generally

and if you do get attacked then you aren't as likely to suffer much if you
FS and make yourself unprofitable
Absolute protection has been suggested and rejected before, adding it would just ruin the whole concept of a war game.
100k is far more than enough to learn how to survive, and if you don't run your mouth constantly like Piran does in chat (or in other examples, the forums) then chances are you can slip past the 100k mark nice and quietly.

^This.
I tipped over the edge of 100k the other week and so far for me all that has changed is a few more probes come my way. As these guys have said, if you're good at making yourself unprofitable, people wont spend their time coming at you.

I know what FSing is....
I am just stating that the points limit for attacking someone should not change just because you hit 100k.
I used to play on Extreme and I have a unique circumstance where I only have net access at work.
I FSed my ships (I had a decent amount for my size of 150k at the time) my fleet landed and just before I could send them on their way again a 5 mil or so player crashed my fleet. How can you call that honorable?
Yes this is a war game... but how is it honorable to attack another player that is like 33x smaller then you are?
After that I almost quit the game.

That is part of what makes the game interesting mate. If you just hide behind protection all the time, then there's no real challenge to the game. Plus absolute protection will ruin the fleeter/raider aspect of the game because the availability of targets will plummet rapidly.
Quitting the game over a hit is lame imo, just learn from it and rebuild. A lot of people quit because they don't like having to think, but that's what it takes in a game that has so much strategy involved. If you don't like having to think, then avoid war games
