in real life a planet could have more than 1 satellite
why the ZE planet cant have more than 1?
i would really like to got another moon on the same planet
for a planet more than 24.800 km and the percent of its creation is 10 percent the biggest percent
u can use rubies for it 2
Re: Moons
#2How many are you planning on having?Wikipedia wrote:Saturn has at least 62 moons. Titan, the largest, comprises more than 90% of the mass in orbit around Saturn, including the rings.[49] Saturn's second largest moon, Rhea, may have a tenuous ring system of its own.[50] Many of the other moons are very small: 34 are less than 10 km in diameter and another 14 less than 50 km.[51] Traditionally, most of Saturn's moons have been named after Titans of Greek mythology.

If it were implemented how would you distinguish between the moon slots? I take it would be 0:000:00:0
as the new coordinate system...
Also what would be the purpose of having the second moon, any lunar buildings would not provide any support to your empire. Building sensor phalanxes would be pointless as your first moon already covers the systems. Jump gate on the second moon will also be inefficient as the first moon will have one.

Re: Moons
#3Have to agree with Cypher on this. Yes, in RL planets can have multiple moons, but in-game, what would be the POINT of having another moon?
Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the Spiffiest of them all?

Re: Moons
#9Each planet could have a overview for moons but i think that instead of moon maybe the ability to have an asteroid field or something like it as a defensive base around a planet not only could you set up a LL crossfire but you could also set up mining colonies bringing in a whole new aspect to the game and allowing a totally new area of expansion and as far as cord it would be as simple as a new field in the system. you could have a whole new set of ships and it would actually give a reason to use Light Fighters and HF and other ships that are more or less not used for anything.
Re: Moons
#10Too complicated of an idea to be implemented. Having a second area around the planet would serve no purpose that the moon and actual planet don't already have. Getting new colonies for mining is already possible, and creating a crossfire goes against how the battle engine currently works. If you want LL's, build them on the planet you're defending.
