if it were important enough or enough ppl would have liked the idea you wouldnt have to "bumb" it after a meesly 3 days on the boards.

Actually, it didn't go off the board, it was still visable. That being said, I don't really see a use for this. Having a icon to show someone is typing isn't going to amount to a hill of beans (as my mother used to say). People are not going to stop and go ohhh, wait, someone else is typing so I should wait before I type, so all you will end up with is a bunch of icons beside peoples names. As I said, in my opinion there isn't a need for it.

sorry, it was my iconic way of saying your idea *****. And since you put your idea out here for general discussion, learn how to take the feedback whether it is positive or negative... well, most moderators kick people who are lurking, but kick the wrong people. this way, we can know.

I think it has been a while since any of the mods have done a lurk check. If I am not mistaken, last time zorg was in there he said no lurk kicking, or was that just no kicking the mods on lurk check . Either way, even if there is a lurk check, if done the old way (not sure how the mods are doing it now), you announce a lurk check and tell the people in chat to yell or something to that effect, then you go down the line and call out at least 2 times the names of the ones that did not type the first time. Being done this way gives plenty of time for someone to type *shrugs*.
Anyway, yeah still don't see a reason for it. Just my honest opinion.
