income bonus for lower ranked players

i been thinking about a way to attract and preserve newer players.
on extreme and speed both there are overpowered alliances at the top that wont leave anyone a chance to build up.this works very demotivating for the lower players and the number of inactives and people quitting seems extremely high lately.

my idea would be to implement a bonus system for resource income based on the number of points one has.
as example:

upto 10k 200% income
upto 100k 175%
upto 1million 150%
upto 3 million 125%
upto 5 million 100%
5 million and more 75%.

this is just an idea and the numbers are just made up , its upto other to find out the best working numbers.

the main issue should be that higher ranked players would be more dependent on making hits and raiding rather then huge income from mines and the lower players get a chance to catch up a bit with just mines , and if they raid they will have a significant bonus in comparison to the big boys.

any feedback or other ideas on this issue are welcome.

edit: i am not bringing up this issue to benefit myself btw, i would be in the group that wont get the bonus ;)

i totally agree.

i first started playing speed, then when i got 200k points in speed, i tried Xtreme and found out all the top 4 guys are in the same alliance with around 20 mill points. i came up with a thought that it would take ages to accomplish that so i quit Xtreme =(

however, if i got the 200% boost (i personnally think this should be increased XD) i would actually play, as it gives me the thought that "hey! i might be able to get 1 mill points pretty soon!)

like to see this implemented so that weaker players stand a chance against stronger players.

If this is ever implemented, there should not be a penalty for going above 5mil points, or any number of points. It's not fair to have your work for the last however long reduced in value because you grew too much. Other problems I see: raising production in lower ranked players like this will give them more resources to raid and make them more of a profit to hunters, causing them to get hit quicker/more often and leave the game in frustration. This is coupled with the fact that you said these production percentages were intended to make the big guys raid more.

All in all, I say no to this.

I think maybe they should have a higher basic income. You know, the res you get with or without the mines...
If noobs would get few k's instead of Basic Income: 600 metal 300 crystal 72 deuterium 0 energy
, they would improve faster, and as they improve, the basic income should slowly decrease. :think:

Being honest, such a move would just help me AS ONE OF THE BIG GUNS. I would just keep fleet out and slide from the over 5mil group to under 2mil. And since i get most my res from the smaller players anyways, hell it would be great for me. Realistically looking at players like Sloth and KM, this would only hurt the few players that are near the top guys in points.
