Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx

As the X-treme universe evolves, there are more and more players making it to the top level. With that said, I think there should be more goals for the top players. As such, I am recommending a new Lunar building - the Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx. And to bring balance, it is a lunar building, there are no points to building points and it is vulnerable to Moon Destruct missions.

Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx
Using an enhanced sensor phalanx technology, foreign ship movements can be mapped in neighboring galaxies. This gives information on moving foreign fleets that is otherwise invisible.
Resources Needed : Metal: 10.000.000 Crystal: 15.000.000 Deuterium: 10.000.000 (Resources needed for additional levels is doubled).
Base Construction Time : 24h 0m 0s

Description:

With the dawn of Zorg Physics, the Sensor Phalanx has evolved into a new technology that can now be used between galaxies. Utilizing the energy that is produced by the Jump Gate at level 4, the Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx can be used to monitor ship movements in neighboring galaxies. With each level of the Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx, the distance is increased by 1 galaxy.

Requirements to build the Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx:

Research Lab (Level 20)
Zorg Physics (Level 10)
Graviton Technology (Level 3)
Jump Gate (Level 4)
Sensor Phalanx (Level 5)

Requirements to use the Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx:

15.000 Deut

Edit: It would not be able to scan the current galaxy it is built in. (You need to use the Sensor Phalanx to scan current galaxy).

Edit: Added Sensor Phalanx (Level 5) as a build requirement.

Edit:

Example:

You have a moon at 1:249:10. This moon has Jump Gate level 4, And Sensor Phalanx Level 10. With a Level 1 Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx, you can scan systems between 2:150 through 2:348.

When you increase the level of Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx,to Level 2, you can additionally scan systems between 3:150 through 3:348.

This needs more info to be honest, when you say cross galaxy do you mean this thing can lanx the entire 499 systems? If yes - far too overpowered. If no - what exactly is the range and how is it calculated?

Only other thing, building time follows a pre defined formula, so the base build time with level 0 Robot Factory for this building would be 104 days and a few hours (cba to figure out the remaining hours).

maybe the 1 or 2 adjoining galaxys? depending on which galaxy your in obviously. i like the concept personally. not sure how to hammer it out though to be more refined but its a good start. two thumbs up and a cookie for this one torgard.

My initial assessment would be the entire galaxy. Please provide a suggestion if you disagree with part of or all of the proposal.

We can tie the level of Sensor Phalanx to this building. So, if you have level 10 Sensor Phalanx, then the Trans-Galactic Sensor Phalanx can scan the length of 198 systems in either Galaxy adjacent to it.

I think that is more reasonable, combined with the cost and building requirements already needed on the moon, I don't think these would be a very common sight on smaller than 9900 moons.

If I am honest though, as interesting as it is, I would have to vote against it in it's current state. Just not fond of the fact that it makes it a hell of a lot harder for players to know whether they are in a certain persons 'scope'.

I don't really know what I can suggest to add to it at the moment, I will think about it some more.

A couple of comments on the requirements.
1. How are you going to get level 20 research lab on a moon?
2. Zorg Physics level 10 is going to cost players more than what they spent for a whole planets worth of buildings.
3. Graviton 3 is a living heck to get

1. He probably didn't think of that so maybe change it to an expedition tech requirement, since that is unused and incorporates advanced sensors.
2. ZP cost scaling is relatively low, so it wont be that much for level 10, this is an end game option after all.
3. With the recent energy doubling, grav 3 is easy as hell to get.

Not if your sats keep getting crashed and you don't have the res to build them all at once.

Again, this is an end game target. By the time you are ready for this you will easily have the capability.

It's more the Lunar Base 8 (not including if you want Robots) that gets me.
