Player Strength Colourings

The colourings that signify a players strength at the moment can be misleading, they should really only be there for people in protection or guarded by protection. You can't really tell without trying to probe whether a 'green' player is actually in protection or if they are just /5 weaker than you.

So my suggestion is, make players only appear 'green' if they are /5 weaker than you AND in player protection. In addition, make players only appear 'red' to you, if they are x5 stronger than you AND you are in player protection. Finally, make 'green' players who have not logged in for 2 days and thus lost their newb protection, appear 'white' to everyone.

In conlusion, all players that you can attack, unless they are inactive, should appear 'white'. All players that you cannot attack because of lower points, should be 'green'. All players that you cannot attack because of higher points, should be 'red'.

Neat idea, however I was thinking of a solution to the issue as well :D

What I thought of was to extend the range of colours used to identify player strength.

Using a very similar idea to your own:

You are not in player protection

Make players appear dark green if they are /5 weaker than you AND in player protection

Make players appear light green if they are /5 weaker than you AND NOT in player protection

Make players appear white if they are within x5 or /5 or have lost protection

Make players appear light red if they are x5 stronger than you

Inactives remain the same colours

You are in player protection

Make players appear light green if they are /5 weaker than you

Make players appear white if they are within x5 or /5 or have lost protection

Make players appear light red if they are x5 stronger than you

Make players appear dark red if they are x5 stronger than you AND NOT in player protection

Inactives remain the same colours

:)
I am in agreement that it needs to be changed. However I would prefer to know straight off by the colours how strong the player is without checking their numbers.

I think the colours are ok as they are but i see Istas point.

The only thing if anything that needs tweeking is as you say a colour of players we cant hit!!! Especially as the screen is very annoying when probing on a 17" monitor and you end up checking your esp reports to find 0 in there lol

I have probed my own alliance guyz on the odd occasion and there is 7 of us lol... I actually think it would be cool if the Alliance admins could have a selection to choose from in the admin part of the alliance menu that they could choose the alliance colours in game.
