so i was thinking of the past greats etc....and i was reading in the forums and i came across the naming of galaxies and got to thinking...y dont we name them after legends of z.e. ...it will be our way of immortalizing them within the game,and its not hard to think of legends as i can name a few of now,khan,soc,mintika,rj (yes he still plays but is a legend in my eyes),it can be their legacy,and i know ur going to say well how do we determine a legend but if u play z.e. or read the forums u can tell who they are,i think itd be nice to honor..is that the right word....them and their accomplisments while they played here....not only does gameplay make a legend but their attude as well...o i also think ist is a legend even tho we dont met eye all the time....well let me know what u think...

I like the idea. Here are my suggested requirements to be considered a legend.

1) made it to the top 10 and stayed there for at least a week.

2) No longer play the account that gave them legend status. I don't like the idea of having a living legend.

3) Accepted as a legend by the player base.

i like ur idea,but i think more then 1 week in top ten is called for.also like the hall of fame maybe once every so often we hold a player poll to see who gets voted as a legend and yes there is living legends but i agree we shouldnt name the galaxys until their gone....

A lot of people were in the top 10 for over a week. And the top 10 changed with time so we would need over 100 galaxies. SOC, SBT, gumppy , Khan and Mintaka should definitely be considered. I would add Slash, but we need a very cr4py galaxy to name it after him

I think this idea is terrible, if I have to be brutally honest. I would just scrap the naming thing and keep it as numbers. Can't see people picking up "So where you placing that colony?", "Oh, just going to stick it in Mintaka somewhere".

Don't hold anything back Istalris lol i think its a very interesting idea. definitely needs some work but interesting none the less.

It is not a bad idea. It needs more work though. I am more fond of linking galaxy names to the strongest player in the galaxy, in total. (only planets in the current galaxy will count)

Or we can put this for alliances instead.

This is mostly destined for a title like: Under the Supervision of example alliance rather than a name.

Or we can blend it both,like both title + name chosen by alliance.
