Add scoreboard raiders records

#1
Hey guys,

I am not sure if anyone from development is reading this, but I would like to share my new awesome idea anyways.

The servers are not that populated (if we don't count the increasing numbers of inactive accounts) and most of the time what we do is raid. Now looking at the user profiles there are 3 sections - inflicted damage, suffered damage and raided loot. Those categories are also involved in the weekly ranking and the medals system. What I want to have is an overall high score of raided loot. The damages are there so I feel like that was left behind.

I think that's a reasonable request and easy to execute. Please, feel free to express your opinion. Don't leave me hanging like with my previous suggestion.

Hi Runcho. Yep, I agree. The all time attackers are there, the all time defenders are there but alas, no all time raiders. I suggested this years ago. Zorg's reply at that time was along the lines of this, good idea, not too difficult to implement etc etc. Now, all these years along the line, still no all time raiders. Thanks for bringing it up again but don't hold your breath.

This is what Zorg said in reply to the idea when I suggested it , there is a date and time stamp with it.

"It's not a big deal to implement this. It is less than 2 hours for all universes. I will approve this, we can do this in the upcoming dedicated development for user suggestions.

Well, zorg said he loves my recent activity in the forum, but no feedback for my suggestions yet. I am in no rush, but I would like to see a reply on the matter soon. I've red your topic and there he states it's like 2h work to implement that so I see no reason not to, we just need to poke him about it until he does ^_^

Yep. But then again, Zorg says that they will respond but never instantly. Everything gets looked at but don't expext too prompt a response. My original post was, I think, over three years ago. So, like I said and was told, don't expect an immediate response. However, three years, I know it's not prompt or immediate, but how long does it take? lol. Never mind, perhaps we should wait another three plus years?

First: Time
When you have 5 universes, it surely takes a lot of time to implement anything right. With the new system, we will be able to have more flexibility on this in the future so changes are implemented to all universes right away. Although this is not yet ready (but we have already designed this) and old universes (xtreme/standard/speed/massacre) will not be supported.

Second: Small Requests
We know how important things like these are to players. We do work on priorities though. Plus, there are dozens of small requests. Such requests are best developed in lots; This should be coupled with more small requests. As devs, we do not really know at every given time what is more important currently to the players. If we get a post that brings a new issue or an existing issue up to the surface, we do not usually bother until it gathers enough publicity among the playerbase itself.

Third: Current situation
Of course, current situation is much different from our recent history. We have been through a dead period with no forum activity. Right now, we have some improvement and sometimes, a few people can change this. So we cannot follow the old publicity recipe. What we mostly need now, is a few proved veterans, seasoned players who have been playing ZE or similar games through the years and have the critical ability to point to the right direction in development. A few meaningful suggestions on the direction could really help.

Final Step: How to move forward
Our current priority for the game is to develop the next big thing for the game. Here is my post about it: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=12644

For those that want to help, here are a few suggestions:
1)Provide your feedback at the topic above
2)Create list of small features that are important to you and create a topic about it. Use the forum search to see if every request already exists in the forums. If yes, include the link in your post. For existing suggestions, do not really pay attention to our feedback, as it is most probably outdated.
3)We need help in clearing up existing suggestions. Even approved ones. You can go through these lists and add your feedback. Feedback can be short; like Approved, Disapproved or even more passionate like: Great One, make this a priority!

We don't mind how many will do this. Current activity in the forums is low, so the numbers will be low. Eventually, the more quality directions we get from a player, the more attention we will pay to the feedback given by the particular player.

This particular request for example, is very reasonable and you are both right in requesting this. Simply couple if with a few other things of similar nature and then let us do it.

Yes, very good. But THREE YEARS ago when this idea was first mooted, the response was that it would only take a couple of hours. That it was easy enough to implement. Three years later and still nothing.

With regards to the last sentence of your post, "simply couple if (it) with a few other things". Fair enough, but if you want to have players making suggestions, then please just reply, give a yes or no answer. If yes, as was the case with this original request, then implement it. Not wait three years before adding anything else. Otherwise, say NO. lol. Then we can then think of something else. But if players suggest stuff, get as they see it, ignored, then players will simply stop suggesting things in the first place.

So, I take then from the lack of.... anything that this is not going to be implemented?

Although, as stated previously, it was three years ago that it was agreed that it was a good idea and would be no trouble to implement, this is not now going to happen? I know it's not reloaded, it's a player from one of those other servers. But either way, a yes or no as to whether it will happen might be good?

At least we will then know whether to acctually make suggestions of any type in future. And, before everybody gets all defensive, it's been discussed with other members of "certain" other servers via private Facebook pages, the consensus is that there is no point in really making any further future suggestions. Is this correct? Yes, no???

Well, Zorg stated that if we combine couple small things an update can happen to all at the same time. However I don't see why not making it one at a time since such are not comming.

I was inspired to throw some more suggestions, I spend a few hours to develop those and present them, but been a while and no word on any of them from anyone. I don't think the problem is with the development in this case, but with the players. Facebook private messages and the official forum are 2 different things - if we, as players, want something done than we should also make an effort! In my oppinion if we get more people comenting on this post and agreeing with it and it's a hot topic for a week or two we can see the change happening. Otherwise we do nothing, Zorg does nothing and we wait another 3 years for some new guy to suggest the same thing.

Yes, I can see what you mean. But, after all these years of seeing things suggested, seeing things that are great ideas and, as in this case, Zorg agrees. Describes the process as being easy, two hours etc. Then, as we know, nothing. The older servers I think are being ignored. Once again, in this case, you and I post, nothing. Whereas Re-loaded, somebody posts about it and it's jumped on almost immediately.

Facebook pages and the like. Sometimes it's the only way for players to chat, get together and discuss things. The game is being ignored unless it's the Reloaded server. That's evident from just our posts. By writing this, I will no doubt be censured, accused of baiting. Although this is not the case, the only way to circumnavigate these accusations is to take it out of the game. If Zorg doesn't like somethig, they will take action, because it suits. When it's something they just can't be bothered with, unless it's the flavour of the month as with Reloaded, then it's ignored. Again, it's self evident.
