planet types

i know tht cold planets get more deut and hotter planets get more energy
what if we added planet types and there perks

1-dryworld +10% crystal production

2-waterworld +15% deut production

3-earthlike/balanced +20% metal

4-jungle +10% energy

5-ice world +30% more deut -10% crystal n metal

6-desert world +10% energy +5% metal

these are my ideas im sure this wouldnt be game shattering if it
was implimented...this is my first suggestion so try not to be to
harsh lol also if you have a planet type to add tht would be splendid :mrgreen:

I like the notion of variety. This would also help vary what 'choice spots' are within a solar system depending on player need. +1 from me

your idea would only be practical on a new server.
Apply type to existing planets -> unfair lack of choice to existing planets
Apply type to new planets -> existing planets get nothing unless they recolonise

POSSIBLY -> the effect can be re-rolled at a cost (linear scaling with building space used) in the research section.

Not sure about the perks you suggested, but perks in general would make for more diversity. I would like to see more negatives though. (more balanced)

I like this idea, Im sorry i didnt notice it ealier maybe the percentages need tweaking and some of those like the ice world should be super rare....gives an incentive to keep searching not only for fields but for better minable planets like that...I think id be a nice addition.... +1 from me

I actually really like this idea, too! But I agree with Joshanddrew. some things need to be a little tweaked and potential planet types might need to be more common than another but overall this is very cool.

< ) thnx this is my only sucsessful idea as far as i can see...for the ice world there is - 10 % metal and crystal production...so it wouldnt be to advantagus if you wanted to get metal there

I do like the idea. it would allow more specialization for players. Too bad, even if approved, we wont ever see it implemented. Just add it to the list of other approved ideas that we are all waiting to see...

hmm if these things are never added then whats the point of the suggestions forum....theyll never be added any way...but yes i love the positive feed back im getting on this topic thank you and dont be afraid to suggest any other planet types
