New Researches

Could you implement new researches that would apply to different facets of manufacturing and production. Things that would effect the production rate of specific researches?
Like Energy technology would also increase the efficiency of solar satellites and solar plants. Or researches that would increase the production of metal by say 2% per level, up to a maximum percentage (double production or so on). Technologies that would also increase the production speed of ships and defenses past that of the robot factory and Nanite factory (this maybe 1-3% per level, possibly lower)
-any thoughts on this?

Hmmm... I guess its been suggested befor.anyway i agree with tech wich increase mine's production. And also energy tech thing... But not quite sure about "nanit tech", i just see no need.

all of those are in place, just perhaps not as a tech. why not just upgrade your nanite for faster building, ship, and defense unit production. Intergalactic Research Network increases the speed of research. Planet location affects mine production. As i understand energy tech affects only fusion reactors in speed anyhow. but honestly, fusion reactors are a better choice than sats. sats can be crashed and the more you have the bigger the temptation for an attacker to hit them for all the yummy crystal.

The more techs the better as long as they are balanced. I agree with the premises, but you'll need to add detail and specifics to your proposal. I think Zorg is mostly interested in things that truely add to the game so, not just thinks to amplify existing stats so you'll have to be convincing.
You might consider as well, that since this is a competitive game, you must provide real choices. If everyone does it, it serves no purpose. As the techs currently exist, not all are useful to everyone. Further, players weigh the value of high techs vs more ships by different terms.
