WE NEED New Defense Structures!

I got this recently:

Circular messages fall under the rule of no posting private messages. Warning issued. -DR
With the current defense structures, we need more to help protect ourselves. At least until we can hire NPC Police Patrols.

I wish there was a schedule to "auto-fleetsave." Then I'd not have a problem. Thanks.

The above quote is like an echo to my newbie days of space empire browser games (namely in one named "5+4rf1337 C0/\/\/\/\4/\/d3r," back in Earth-year 2010.) (Title of the other browser-game self-censored.)

However, except that instead of trying to beef up defenses, I tried to exodus my civilization to a "distant" planet, "far away" from the nearest potential enemy, so that I would be "too remote" to be attacked by anyone who felt like attacking me.

I don't remember my Alliance's name in SC anymore, but my screenname was also Asheron (or Asheron Realaidain.) You might have been my same alliance-mate for all I know, Peaceful Miner, who told me this after I announced my exodus:

I just dismissed that as an act of trolling (and even told him so, with the qualifier that I'll only believe him if an attack he predicted actually happened.) I did get to believe him because the first attack happened to my new system 5 days after my drove of escapee ships arrived.

Whether he tipped off my new enemies, is what I'll never find out.

the thing is there are huge sharks with like 20 mil fleet pts and a few billion deut as long as you make a profit by their standards, theyll attack you
there are people who search galaxies for fun??? to map players

all of that is true. there is no place to hide and no matter how many defenses you have you will never be safe from the fleeters. but with all of the new ships and what not i think it is time for a new defensive unit just to even it out. i mean rly think of all the power the ships have compared to what the defense units have.

The def is fine as it is imo... the def has only 1 role. To protect your over night production... the scoreboard is the issue... noob uditos keep using turtles as a td .. a way to showoffeven if they can't hita real fleet...td should be desinged to count fleettd only... then d basging would be highly reduced... and new playera could develop better

i agree 100% because 90% of my 2bil td this week is fleet and why am i not #1

god is right. think of it like this: if i have to send so many ships it will cost me say 3 mil deut and you only have 500k deut on your colony, i wont launch. if you have 6 mil deut i will launch even though i would only break even deut wise, the metal and crystal take makes the profit. the key to a good defense is to be unprofitable.

You know why switching td to fleet td would make several things...


produce more fleeters
reduce thi pointless attacks
increase competition
point. out true skill
increase activity in the player base

The complete removal of turtles from td could improve the gameplay


think of it this way a turtle is not fit for war ... a tirtle is only fit for nining.... so the def place in td is pointless
