Re: Moon destruction needs changing

The risk is nowhere near that. There is a ONE percent chance of the mission failing. That's 1 out of every 100 on average, for those of you who don't like math. And that's not even for getting your RIPs destroyed. That's just for the moon remaining un-popped. IF the failure happens, THEN there is a MAX 50% chance of your RIPs being lost. As stated earlier, that is ridiculously low, only 0.5% chance of losing your fleet on a decent sized moon. That's 1 out of every 200 missions. How many people have even done that many MD attempts? As a miner, if, for example, there was a 1% chance of a building failing to upgrade after the building time, and a 0.5% chance of not getting the resources returned to me, I would still build mines. That's not even 1 loss of resources per planet for me right now.

Anyway, I've argued my point. If you don't want to listen to it, so be it.

The math is correct. It is also stated within the report. With the number of moon destructions so far I am actually surprised that we have not seen a bunch of rips destroyed yet as a result of the backfire chance.

If that's the case, my apologies for the ol' wall of text up yonder.

I agree with Kick.

I think the math should involve more risk, more than 1%. Honestly why not? At least in xtreme and in other servers as rip fleets grow. It will bring more balance to the game, to where a player would think again before risking his/her rips with intentions to keep every moon popped. Call it a risk VS gain. Why risk your rips on a noobs moon when he has nothing just to pop it, risk it vs a player that has known fleet to go after. these players with these rips to pop any moon can afford the risk and still be top fleeters, why not?

Id have to disagree with your attitude on that when you do do this, and also even bragged about the love of the sound of moons popping in chat. More risk over 1% is a good idea, and keep the math evolving with the size of the evolving rip fleet sizes = balance, risk VS gain

Idea here is balance, not buy your fleets and always be on top with a unbalanced formula in many areas, way I see it you defend your money over making the game better, just my opinion

Lol so now i bought me fleet? That's actually very funny, i have not bought any fleet ever, but thanks for the concern here. Also limiting it to 4 MD a day just saved many moons for many people, the moons we popped before were to uncover fleets, thats all there is to it. You can sit in the forums, and flame anyone you want but its just annoying, your flaming and trolling all day long. The key here is the fact that you apparently have been wronged in some way and wish to take it out on players who are better then you.
