Don't forget to cite the suggestion # when you reply about any. Thanks.1. We need tech to increase efficiency of resource usage. (Real world example: Plywood made today uses 1/3 of the wood used to make plywood several decades ago. Cars are more fuel efficient, and improved manufacturing processes reduced the cost and amounts of materials.) If we can research tech to reduce consumption of resources on anything we construct, then that would be a BIG plus!
2. Resource Dens that guarantee the safekeeping of (a certain amount of) resources during an attack/raid, with upgrades affording more secured storage. No discussion of other online games please.-DR, somewhat similar to ZE, already has these.
3. The ability for fleets to auto-retreat a hopeless battle. Hardly any fleet would literally fight to the last ship if faced with hopeless odds in real life, so why shouldn't fleets on ZE disengage to safety and return once hostile fleets have departed?
4. Imagery depicting various parts of the planets' surfaces when viewing/working on said planet. Again, no discussion of other online browser games please.-DR has this, and I appreciate the graphics of said imageries.
5. The chatroom needs to be made more prominent because it appears frequently underpopulated. Understandably it's from not enough players noticing said chatroom.
6. Why need a phoenix gate to teleport ships containing resources to a friend's planet? Why not build teledocks on the planets to beam resources directly to a destination? (Given, it should require a ton of resources and time to build, given how big an advantage such structures would provide, and of course ships will still need phoenix gates.)
7. For solar satellites, let's start to think outside the box. If I designed solar satellites decades in the future and deploy them to a hostile area, I would put defense turrets, evasion thrusters and armoring on said satellites. They could essentially become their own mini-ships. I'd appreciate new techs to build/refit satellites this way (and of course they should never attack; only defend.)
8. (Partial) self-reconstruction of destroyed ships & structures: Redacted, see above.-DR a game I played before ZE, had this feature. Intelligent nanite bots and macro-sized robots would be programmed to work on restoring said ships and structures, thereby reducing rebuilding costs. It would be very partial at first, but improvements in Computing tech would increase how well self-reconstruction happens.
9. Missions for resources, extra ships, and even trophies/badges/medals/other rewards. There used to be such missions in Redacted.-DR. We needed a particular fleet complement of certain ship types to do certain missions. (Example: To rescue a hijacked luxury star-liner, I needed to send a transport shuttle with an escort of combat ships.)
10. The Droid hiring dynamic: This was another feature of Redacted.. The droids would be procured at varying costs. There'd be a capacity for how many droid workers I could employ on the planet, depending on the level of construction of various structures. Said droids would give advantages on resource procurement, research, defense, et al.
Please keep me/us posted on updates to come! I love this game!
Ten game suggestions I submitted in the recent survey.
#1I figured that I would get critiques from the playing public as well:
