This is a small request, and probably not too high on the modification list. But, I would like to suggest a change in the message you receive when you lose a fleet when attacking.

Currently it is:

Attacker Lost
(In other terms, attacker lost in the first turn.)

How about something like this:

As your fleet approached the target, sensors picked up some unexpected ships and defenses on target. Unfortunately, you lost communication with your fleet and it is assumed that your fleet was lost.)

It would confuse newbies though. Perhaps we can use the message plus the explanation in brackets.

I like that.

You talking something like this:
