Returning to the refer a friend month idea, I suggest that Zorg does a one month refer a friend with increased ruby bonuses on the new server.
I see this helping in a number of ways even if abused:
-It gives player who cannot get rubies a chance to get rubies
-It increases the planet base regardless if people attempt to multi-account.
-With the lower point to resource ratio player can expect to see results quicker.
and I know I can get my friends to play if only for the sole benefit of me for a few weeks/months.

Edit: Also increasing the reward give Zorg and excuse to advertise the refer a friend marathon via mass in-game post, for those who have not discovered the forums.

The refer a freind option is a good idea. Although does it actually work? But, anything that gives rubies to those who can't otherwise obtain rubies would be great.

Now that I got a few more time, let me share some insight on this.

We have used Refer a Friend feature to Zorg and in three more games. We have tried many different variations. At one game, it even shares part of the purchases made by someone you refer (ie, if someone you referred buys 1000 rubies, you get 100).

Sadly, it does not work. ZE has had about 180,000 signups so far, The rest have had about 210,000 signups. Out of a total of about 400k signups, there must have been about 100-200 using the referral link.
