An old Facebook app game named "5+4rf133+ C0mm4nd3r" (self-censored) had that option if any player preferred not to fight not get raided. In return, they paid a resource tax.
Now if we prefer not to have hostilities either way, how can we stay out of the fighting? Seems that we can't, hence I hope to see a diplomacy mode ("Dip Mode" for short.)
Re: "Diplomacy Mode" for those who prefer not to fight.
#2I will say no to this, because this Mode will kill the game entirely. Every player that wants to avoid being farmed/attacked will go to Diplomatic Mode. As we all know , most Inactive accounts will be deleted after a certain period. What will happen then?
The top dogs will not succumb to cannibalizing each other that easily. Most top raiders and fleeters know each other well and share an alliance or have Naps. Sure, they will be hunting enemies at their level, but how many are there? What will we all do after a while?

#3Guess we would all have to start mining
I have to agree with Sin on this one. I do understand the desire to be left alone to grow at your leisure and to be able to do so peacefully. However, this is still a war game in nature and taking away opportunities for those who wish to actually play the "war" part of it just doesn't seem fair to me. You can still grow and prosper and do as you wish if you follow the basics - harvest your mines and keep your ships safe. Plenty of info on these forums about how to do that. Of course, you will always have that crazy senseless fool who will hit you regardless of profit, but not much you can do about them.
Let's keep the game fun for all player types instead of turning into a game of miners and turtles.

#4As the biggest miner in X, I'd have to agree with Sin and Choke.

#5Why delete inactive planets in the first place; let them be farms without anyone to run them.
Also, no one here has heard of an "NPC?" Non-player-character enemies are the preferred targets for those who would rather not fight other warm bodies. What's wrong with having NPCs here? I miss them.
Mr. Sinister, would players leaving kill the game entirely just as well? Isn't a large reason for players leaving because they are raided too many times?

#6Talk to Zorg about NPC's , i wonder how they should be implemented. Please specify....
Inactive planets are deleted after a certain period, nothing the players can do about that. Same applies here, talk to Zorg about that.
I agree with you on the issue of players leaving the game due to excessive raiding, maybe a higher noob protection is an option? After reaching a certain level, isn't the player supposed to know how to dodge attacks? (F/S recycle d/f, moon to moon, planet to moon, lifting fleet and res when under attack and even ninja the attacker)
Also, first thing a new player should learn is how to leave his/her planets unprofitable, ALWAYS.......

#7Dont agree with this Diplomacy mode.
If u don't want to be attacked, be un-profitable, simple.
Increasing the protection for noob would be good. When player have 200-300k points just in mines he can already make nice attack or raid some bigger shell. And I see some player stay under protection and with just 50k mines points build large fleet for tomorrow situation ( when they pass 100k).
Problem the way I see is player don't read forum for beginners and when they get crushed they lost desire to play.
U need to be crushed at least once to learn play
