I have been instructed to give detailed information on forthcoming ideas regarding Zorg Empire development plans.

-ACS attack development has frozen in the last month due to losing its priority order to other things. We are now about to continue it and finish it as soon as possible.
-Activity levels on both universes are very good which make us very skeptical about issuing any major change such as new ships etc.
-As it is now, players are choosing a universe based on SPEED and not on DIFFICULTY as we have hoped for when we created Standard Universe. For this reason, we cannot force people who choose EXTREME server out of speed preference most of all, to accept all the changes we have in mind.
-Therefore, we are thinking to create in about 2 months a new SPEED universe. Then, we will be able to proceed with all changes we have in mind for the XTREME server. This will be given for community discussion officially (you can discuss it from now though if you like) when ACS attack is finalized.
-If these ideas finally proceed, Zorg Empire will look like this:
-XTREME server: Speed + Large Universe MAP + Special Ship Types + ACS Defend + ACS Attack = Epitome of Zorg Empire (Most difficult universe of all, taking in mind all the above plus the veteran players already in it - a hard universe for newbies)

-Standard Universe: Small Universe + ACS Defend (No ACS attack, No Special Ships for at least the next 6 months, perhaps forever) = A universe destined for those with not much time + those new in the game

-Speed universe: Faster Universe than Xtreme + Small Universe Map + ACS Defend + ACS Attack = Universe for the classic players that want speed. It will have no special ships so it will be ideal for newcomers to Zorg Empire too.

There is also the issue with turtles in XTREME. We are in purpose allowing more time before we implement ACS attack in order to allow them the time to find the proper allies they need (Keeping in mind that ACS Defend will be much more important when ACS attack appears).

Regarding ACS attack in Standard, we want to allow turtle strategy to be more popular in this universe, this is why it is extremely difficult to implement now or in the future ACS Attack in Standard. Unless there are heavy requests by the majority of Standard players, this decision will not change.

New universe creation will be probably in about 2 months time, a bit sooner or later is possible. We might introduce ACS attack in EXTREME once it is done (hopefully very soon as development on it will restart on this Monday) with a view to also test it in real factors (off course it will be tested in beta before) before enabling it in a brand new universe (I am referring to SPEED). Therefore, for ACS attack implementation on XTREME, the new universe starting date will not play a role.

3 Universes now sound the ideal number to our ears as it will allow us to have different universes that attract different kind of players. This is very important as we do not want to lose players that do not like the universe setup; and this is very likely to happen if we input special ships to XTREME without a second option of SPEED server that will not have the ships. Off course, we are not in a hurry; It took us about 1.5 years before launching a second universe. We won't risk the activity of either the current universes. Therefore, we will also need a decision for a big advertising campaign investment and this can only slow down the creation of the new universe.

We got very heavy competition with other games and we are trying to offer the best setup, the best speed, the most stable gameplay.

So far, with your help, we have managed a lot of things. Primarily, I will focus to stable gameplay. Zorg Empire is virtually free of any serious bugs right now while even the small glitches have been completely fixed. We have improved speed more in the last month with hours and hours of development in this -invisible- part of the game. We have created a lot faster ranking script (now set at 2h in XTREME) and we will not hesitate to invest more in the best computers to ensure no lag in your gameplay.

We reserve our right to take the final decisions regarding a universe setup but rest assured that our decisions are strongly based on your suggestions and always aim for the better improvement of your gameplay experience.

We have been investing in bringing new players to the game all this time by increasing our advertising budget by up to 50% and by creating incentives for players to bring new players (Your participation in this is very important for Zorg Empire improvement in the future, more players mean a lot more improvements for the game). This keeps to be a very important objective for the whole development team and we will be happy to hear any suggestions about it.

Finally, for this week, I will be personally accepting personal messages on EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GAME. Just be a bit patient before I reply. I will definitely reply though. This is done in a personal effort to catch the pulse of the community before we get final decision on the above proposed ideas. Public talk is off course good and welcomed but some things cannot be said in public, therefore I am giving you this ability.
