Zorg Empire

I just got zorg physics and it's not even level 1. But it says 6 million metal and 4 million crystal, well I asked my friend who said his is level 4 and it only cost 12 million metal and 8 million crystal. I thought that research doubles. Every level, meaning my level 2 is = to his level 4. Can someone help me with this problem?

that amount is correct not everything doubles..at least not right away.
