Server Time

Came on with PM's from fellow alliance members wishing my swift return saying my fleet had been down for a few updates,
Iwas back 20min after my fleet was down however...?
Oh wait server times been jumped forward, so my fleets back an hour early....
No anouncement about it or advance messages.
Thats quite a big change for a glitch....? Why was it taken forward with no warning?
I was lucky but im sure others will be caught out by this aswell and lose fleets because of it.
