So I see all this numbers about rapid fire. What does it mean ? how does it add up to your total damage?
I mean take a DS for example it has 200000 AP ,so if I attack small cargos do I have an attack of 200250 against them?

a RIP has 250 RF vs a SC as you said.
With this engine it would fire once for about 200k. ( WSA would alter it)
BUT with RF, it has a 249/250 chance of attacking again, and if that succeeds, a 248/250 chance, and so on. When an extra attack is achieved, it does the same amount of damage as a normal attack. So if the RIP fired once, it would do 200,000 damage. If it fired 10 times, it would do 2,000,000 damage. Hope that helps.

NOTE TO SELF: for the price of one RIP, I can make 3334 LF and kill your one rip. That is a simple 1 type of ship vs another with cost in consideration.

RIP 5mil metal, 2.5mil C and 1.5 mil Deut. convert the deut into Crystal at 2:1 and you have 5mil M and 5.5mil C

3334 LF = 5,001,000 metal and 5,001,000 crystal which leads you to your victory and 500k crystal extra

I would be extremely suprised if the LF did anything against the RIP. It would probably draw.

I doubt it happens in this game, but in another, there is something called the bouncing rule. It states that if a ships attack power is less than 1% of its targets shields, the damage is simply negated.

I suggest, or request, that Zorg do a battle sim on that.

Why would 3 mil LF get even close? They aren't that good without RF, with it they will suck against RIPs

all I am saying is you might be suprised. And firstly, learn to read, who ever said 3mil LF, i said 3334 because I was considering that the same, or close to the same, amount of resources be spent on each side.

If you want to, consider this, at the reduction of (RF-1/RF) and -1 to RF per level, how many times do you think 1 RIP will be shooting? and then there is only 6 rounds, so in order for the RIP to kill them all, it would have to kill a minimum of 550 per round and not die.

So why not do a battle sim on it so ppl dont get caught offguard when they see a ton of LF coming at thier RIP and think they are safe. I'm just asking for one simple simulation. How hard or scary could it be? I for one want to know what I'm going to be getting into.

I've seen games where 200k LF cant kill a RIP, and games where 5k can.

I am tired obviously 3 mil would own a RIP I meant 3k, but thanks for the nice attitude. I am almost positive that the RIP would own the LF. Consider that the RIP has more than double the firepower and that power does not decline throughout the battle. Also, I thought this was about who losses more, not if the LFs all get destroyed. Considering you said LF were BETTER than a RIP. So the minimum needed to be destroyed to destroy them all is irrelevant.
