Having been on both sides of this coin I can see where this comes from. I don't think the community is looking at it so much as limiting their freedom, more like insisting they have courtesy for the one who planned and carried out the strike against them in allowing the winner time to post. There are some hits that take immense planning and it is only right that the one that had to do the planning be able to claim the right to post it and not have it pulled out from under him imho.

While I personally agree with the suggestion for a 24 hour rule... I am going to play devil's advocate here...

/devils advocate on

"Why should I care about being courteous to someone who attacked me? That would be like someone coming into my house and stealing my possessions and then complaining when I tell the world about what they did to me. You ATTACKED ME... at that point I probably don't really like you a whole lot...

I do understand the POINT of the game is to blow other people up... but why should I care about your " look @ my winnings post authority" when I am the one you took them from? Last time I checked those were MINE until you took them from me..."

Yes but we are not talking about the actuality of winning here or feeling good about winning. We are talking about posting your winning hit for the world to see and being the first one to do it. This to me is actually the gloating about the hit. AAAaand on that note... I actually agree with you. It DOES feels good when you can post a hit that makes you proud. I have yet to be able to do that in ZE yet but you have worked hard for it and you deserve to post it up.

That being said however, When a loser posts your hit, you do not lose anything from it. You are still the winner. You did not lose fame, glory, or renown simply because you were not the first person to post it up. While I do not agree with the loser posting the hit, simply because that is what I am used to both here and elsewhere, it doesn't affect your win in any way shape or form. Those that read the forums, will read more then just the opening post as you can see evidence of by those that post regularly.

It seems that this like everything else that gets suggested will be going by the wayside and into admins trash can  . The only thing I can say is

If you are a loser and you post a cr before 24 hours is up giving the winner time to post if they wish.... then I think you are going to be a loser in many more ways. Besides it makes you look ummm not to smart bragging about losing at something

Be polite, do not post for 24 hours if you are on the losing side of the cr.

You mean Daryll and his other brother Daryll? When there's only two of them you need to cut them some slack. Okay. So maybe you don't. But they're doing their best to improve the game. Honest. Its hard work writing five lines of code and answering the twenty or so emails a month. Back off, Witchy.
