Changing the bashing rule as an alternative to fleet saving was not my point but it ended up that way. :D
You only need one attack to destroy an entire fleet. The bashing rule does not matter.

I guess changing the bashing rule won't work.

There are two different types that attack planets, Fleeters and Raiders. I am more of a Raider than a fleeter. I am still generally more interested in the planet's resources. Of course, if I can eat a small fleet along the way, all the better. However, pure Fleeters are looking for the fleets. For them, 1 or 2 or maybe 3 hits is all they need. I would say that most players not in the top 25 are generally raiders. A reduction in the number of attacks per planet would hurt them the most. I think it is a bad idea.
