That rivalry ended when he disappeared of the face of the earth, then Sadbutrue sealed the deal by permanently putting an end to my turtle days.
Interestingly enough, that event gave rise to my next rival - Paradox, who had aided Sadbutrue in his endeavor and i intended to exact some measure of revenge (the other helper went permanently blue shortly after i located his fleet, unfortunately) . We stayed rivals for quite a long time, at first we were complete enemies, then, after watching her fast rise up the rankings, we started communicating a bit more and the rivalry fully developed when we were both fighting tooth and nail for that rank 3 spot. It was strange, we were fairly friendly with each other throughout the whole thing but we both secretly wanted to crash the crap out of each others fleets.
After we both joined up, that rivalry of course ended, my final rival i think was probably Trox. He didn't know it (or maybe he did), but he was the one i was aiming to overtake and assert dominance in that area. I do like to achieve my goals.
