I can understand both points of view. But, I have said it before and will repeat what I have said again. This is a WAR GAME! However, the rules as laid down by the games masters are silly. I declare war on you, you capitulate right away, what's the point? There should be a minimum amount of time before that surrender should be accepted. Stop the stupidity. He declares war, you surrender, 5 minutes later, he declares again, you are offline, perhaps for another 24 hours. In that time you will not see the new declaration and he hits you before you can surrender, again. Madness. A minimum amount of time should pass before any cease fire/surrender can take place. It takes 24 hours from the declaration of war before the bashing can begin. Surely, 24 hours from that point should be administered, allowing that war to proceed for at least 24 hours, by which time you can surrender. All that a war does is lift the bashing rule. 5 hits from Gozar in a 24 hour period is enough for anybody, war or not. When this game was envisaged, I'm sure that the powers that be would not have dreamt that a player with a fleet of the magnitude of Gozar's would come in to being. Shortsighted, yes, but that's what we have come to expect from the administrators of the game. THings need to be shaken up, a couple of little tweaks here and there. In the short term it would be easy. You would think. 5-10 years, perhaps they would get off their collective backsides and put something in place. But as we know, the simplest of little things take an eternity in the game, broken promises, time frames that mean nothing and so on. But, the war declaration thing, perhaps you cannot surrender before 48 hours have elapsed from the time the war was declared, a fair idea?
