10k moons are impossible to pop, thats why they are so valuable. But, that is not to say they exist.

The whole problem behind 10k moons is that when they factored into the destroy equation, you get a divide by zero error. Usually, with game code, such errors will result in some form of crash. ( Unless there is separate code written to watch over to do something if a divide by 0 error happens. )

So unless the developers knew of this and implemented code to catch such an event, it wouldn't be foolish to think that the game could possibly crash or encounter some form of critical error.

tl;dr Trying to pop a 10k moon might destroy the entire universe.

P.S - Ex-Zint is currently working on a method of logging all moons throughout a universe. We are close to having such capabilities. We can then reveal what the biggest moon size is. ( At that time. )
