how do I know a planet has a moon or a DF... anytime i send exploration fleet to colonise moons or DF's in my planets... none are found... :/

you cannot colonize a moon or a DF...both are created only after a battle has occired around that planet...the ships destroyed 70% of the resource spent on the ships go to the surrounding DF(Debris Field) and if a Debris field is large enough there is a chance a moon might form.
