having read this and that I just have a simple nooB question, renaming planet how?
click on the what and were is all i'm asking

In the Overview screen, look to the top of the main screen. You should see something like Planet "PlanetName". Click on that link and it will take you to a rename / destroy colony page.

Right next to the Planet "PlanetName" should be your user name in parenthesis as well.
