I was just probed by this player at time stamp
Tue 25 Jan 2011, 02:18:17
however, when I look at the galaxy menu it indicates that there has been zero activity for the last hour (no * or (XX min) next to the planet name).
The esp report indicates that the probe was launched form the planet and not the moon if that is important.
I use Chrome

If the probes he sent were not destroyed. Then no fleet returned to his planet. So no activity indicator.
Also some returning mission won't give out activity indicators.
It's been awhile since I checked the triggers so I'm not quite sure.

any refresh while the header drop down selection was set to a planet will cause that planet an activity. even u just send a probe. all activity that envolves a server response triggers a player activity.
apart from that only attack and probe are the activity u can raise across accounts.

You can deploy missions from a planet without triggering the activity indicator.

u can transfer/deploy/acs defend To that planet and it wont raise activity. unless u access that planet.
to raise a planets activity by urself u have to access it or someone else has to attack it or probe it. other than that there is no way it will show an star.
in reference to what the thread owner said if the probe was sent from that planet it should have raised the activity so i believe ur concern is valid.

So if this is not a bug what are the triggers that will cause an activity indicator to appear?
