- your first planet that you start with is called home world is given randomly placed within universe generally populating one galaxy at a time and incrementing and then rotating back to the first galaxy as the later ones gets populated upto a certain point.
initially all home world used to have 163 fields but new update states all home world has 180 fields to start with.
you can have maximum 21 planets [1 home world + 20 colonies]. you start colonization with colony ships that u send on colonization mission to a coordinate [a tupple of Galaxy/System/Slot] that is not colonized as in there is no planet in that location. on arrival a new world [planet] is created and that is your colony. Colonies 4-6 and 14 and from them outward the field count goes down so 4-6 and 14 are possibly the biggest planets in a system.
Here is a video guide that might help u to understand better.

- From shot 1 to slot 15 the planet temperature decreases due the much agreed sun proximity. high Temperature is good for energy production [good for graviton tech] and low is good for deut production [general deut mines savvy].
wakynel wrote:And how can you see the size of the planet also, before u try to colonize it?
- you cannot. its a random assignment. if u do not like the colony try some other coordinate after disbanding this one. the link is available on the Overview as a link "planet name". when clicked it takes u to disband menu that requires password confirmation.
Hope the above helps.
