I just did a fleet save and my deut usage was like 100k for 100lf, 20hf, 10c, 5BS, 3 bombers and some Lcs. This seems like a big jump from what I was using a couple of days ago for a similar fleet. I did upgrade one of the engine tech levels. Would this jump in speed cause an increase in deut usage? thx.

Yes. Upgrading engine techs will speed up your fleet and also increase fuel consumption.
But if you slow down your speed to match the speed of the previous engine tech lvl, you will notice that you are using less fuel.

I'm new to the game and i was wondering were i can see the new speed of the ships and fuel consume after i have done an upgrade to the specified ship engine.

hmmm i do not think other than trying out in the fleet menu there is any straight forward way to see it.

here are some tools that u might be able to use for convenience but they do not answer ur questions directly.
