I have a nagging question about moon destruction, based on preconceived notions of how many RIPs it should take to pop a moon. In my experiences hearing from various people (including seasoned vets), it takes 50 RIPs to pop a 3000 moon, but on the sim it takes 5 RIPs to kill a 3000 moon. Is it honestly that easy to pop a 3000 moon or are the sims wrong in some way?

I looked for similar topics and I couldn't really find anything definitive, since I'm sure that this question has been asked 102839719287491823 times.
