Shipyards

Ok before i start wasting Res on shipyard builds.!!
Ok shipyards are meant to decrease the build time, but does this stop (is there a limit to a point shipyards no longer decrease the build time)...
If for instance i build a level 21 shipyard is this going to make a difference or is it just a waste of time and resources.

Essentially the Ship or defense building time in conjunction with nanite factory the equation is supposed to be an off-shoot of the following equation.
Build time = (resource cost) / [constant_coefficient x (1+Shipyard Level) x 2^Nanite Level]
as you can see the ship yard reduction for each level is 1/(1+Shipyard Level), if the reduction is anything more than or equal to 0.5 sec for a single Ship there will be a sec cut of from the required time.
For example Say a certain ship takes 3 sec to build, now the next level up for SY if its coefficient add reduces the time to something 2.51 sec i suppose according to the ceiling rool the time would show 3 sec. for a sec reduction you may need to do more level ups so that the changes are significant that there is a second decrease.
For Shipyard level 21 to 22 the coefficient contributes only , a mere 4.35% reduction which wont give you even a sec on the improvement.
So i say it is not use ful to go beyond SY 22. that is just my understanding others may provide more input who already have SY22
e.i. the equation is just for demonstration.

If your main goal is to reduce build times then nanite factories will do way more than increasing the level of your ship yard. Also you will get more points per build slot if you build a nanite factory because of their expense, just something to keep in mind if you are running out of space on your planets.

well thats how the big boys role lol. anyway the build time reduction for shipyards are pretty linear where the nanites have a 2^n thing going on so yeah defo nanites upgrade is better.

are u kidding me? i was going to level out nan 7, damn i wish i was a spider or an octopus.
PS: according to ace theory sloth is an octopus
